Our History
Founded in 1989 and originally known as KOSI, the company began as a furniture manufacturer in Quatre Bornes. The services quickly gained success, and rising demand led the small workshop to expand and relocate to Belle Rose in 1992.
In 1993, Xpanda (Mtius) Ltd was established as the exclusive distributor of Xpanda, a then already renowned South African company specialising in security and burglar deterrent products.
By 2001, demand was growing rapidly as security became a higher priority for the Mauritian market. Kosi Xpanda expanded its offering to include durable aluminium products, strengthening its position in the industry. By 2004, the company had become a trusted reference for Mauritian homeowners, requiring a further expansion into a dedicated industrial production site in Coromandel, spanning 2,700m². This move was a reflection of both growing demand and the brand’s strong reputation in Mauritius.

1992
Growing demand leads to an expansion in Belle Rose.
1993
Xpanda (Mtius) Ltd becomes the exclusive Mauritian distributor of Xpanda security solutions.
2001
The company expands into aluminium products.
2004
Production moves to a dedicated 2,700 m² facility in Coromandel.
Today
Kosi Xpanda serves homes and businesses across Mauritius with a team of more than 160 professionals and a 4,700 m² production facility.

FREE site visit,
measurements & quotation
Our team visits your site free of charge to take the necessary preliminary measurements, assess technical requirements and ensure the solution suits your project. We then provide a free detailed quotation based on your project, specifications and scope.
Project validation
& final measurements
Once the quotation is approved, please notify our team when your site is ready. Our technician will then take the final measurements and validate the project before manufacturing begins.
Production, installation
& after-sales
We then manufacture your custom solutions, handle installation and remain available for ongoing support when needed. After-sales support is available free of charge.
A more responsible approach
Through our partnership with BiobiN Mauritius, organic waste from our operations is collected and transformed into compost rather than being sent to landfill. This initiative supports more responsible waste management and contributes to a circular economy in Mauritius.
